GenPro is started as a unit to deal Bioinformatics enabled services. GenPro deals with research projects by using scientifically proven Open Source Software and online web tools.
GenPro concentrates in researches such as Stem Cell informatics, Nutrigenomics, Immunomics, CADD, Molecular Modeling, Sequence analysis, Phylogenetic analysis on recent outbreak diseases like Tuberculosis,Cancer,Alzheimers,Parkinsons,SARS,HIV etc.,. GenPro Research and Development has a team of college Lecturers, IT Professionals, Researchers and Bioinformaticians who plays a active role in the emerging fields of Biosciences.GenPro aims to be the Generation Promoter in the field of Genomics and Proteomics (Bioinformatics) with the innovating thoughts.
GenPro also offers wide variety of projects for both Bachelor and Master level student.

Bioinformatics is the science of managing and analyzing biological information, an emerging field that combines the skills of computer science and biology. Bioinformatics has emerged out of the inputs from several different areas such as biology, biochemistry, biophysics, molecular biology, biostatics, and computer science. Specially designed algorithms and organized databases is the core of all informatics operations. The requirements for such an activity make heavy and high level demands on both the hardware and software capabilities.
GenPro is looking for young and dynamic UG/ PG/M.Phil Bioinformatics aspirants who are interested in doing project thesis in Bioinformatics. The candidates shall be exposed to the hottest and latest developments in bioinformatics, enough to equip them with finest domain knowledge.

Drug Designing
Computer aided drug design (CADD) is an emerging discipline that uses several Bioinformatics tools and allied fields like cheminformatics and combinatorial chemistry. Computational methods now plays a major role in the process of drug design, involving areas such as virtual screening of combinatorial libraries, 3D structure determination of target macromolecules and computational design of new or improved lead compounds. GenPro is offering structure based drug designing approaches including virtual screening, de novo design and pharmocophore based design.

Homology Modeling
Among the known 3 million proteins,the structure is identified for only about 20,000. Most of the proteins do not crystallize well. So secondary and tertiary structure prediction in an important Bioinformatics research area. Homology modeling is used to predict the 3 Dimensional structure of an unknown protein based on the structure of its homologous proteins.GenPro Bioinformatics provides some projects on homology modeling using BLAST, ClustalW, Deep View etc. Various structures are analyzed using Ramachandran Plot.

Sequence Alignment and Analysis.
Analysis of biological sequences forms core of Bioinformatics. As more and more genome is getting sequenced everyday there is an increased demand for sequence annotation and analysis. we are interested in developing various computer programs for Gene finding, Transcription Factor Binding Site identification, Chaos Game Representation,Dynamic Programming etc. We are also taking part in genome annotation and alignment study using existing tools.

Phylogenetic Analysis
Phylogenetics is the area of research concerned with finding the genetic relationships between species. Modern phylogeny uses information extracted from genetic material –mainly DNA and protein sequences. We offers projects in analyzing evolutionary relationships among biological macromolecules using programsPhylip, POP and PAML.

Data Mining is the widely used application of bioinformatics in companies.This kind of job is called "KPO" Knowledge process outsourcing.There are so many companies in India like Jubilant Biosys,GVK Biosciences,Biobase and other pharmaceutical companies they are making databases for their in-house and also for outsourcing.
The identification or extraction of relationships and patterns from data using computational algorithms to reduce, model, understand, or analyze data. The automated process of turning raw data into useful information by which intelligent computer systems sift and sort through data, with little or no help from humans, to look for patterns or to predict trends.
